The Master's University men's golf team continued their strong start to the season, winning the OUAZ Fall Invite at Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club with a three-round total of 888 (299-295-294), topping an 11-team field by six strokes over Embry-Riddle (AZ) and eight over host Ottawa University Arizona.

Four Mustangs finished inside the top 12 individually. Jacob Janho paced TMU with a tie for third at 5-over 221, closing with rounds of 79-70-72 and posting the low round of the tournament for the Mustangs with an even-par 70 in the second round. Titus Johnson tied for eighth at 8-over 224 (73-78-73), while Wes Opliger carded three consistent rounds of 75 to tie for 11th at 9-over 225.

Zeke Prociw and Isaiah Reddicopp both tied for 13th at 10-over 226. Prociw went 75-74-77, and Reddicopp was steady throughout at 76-76-74. Brady Barrington, competing as an individual, also turned in a strong week, tying for 16th at 11-over 227 and firing a 72 in the final round.

"It's always good to see the whole team finish in the top 20," TMU Head Coach Luke Brueckner said. "We stuck to our game plan and the Lord decided the results and we are thankful for that. My assistant Seth Bishop played a vital role in helping the guys make good decisions out there this week."

The Mustangs trailed early after an opening 299 but responded with two more sub-300 rounds of 295 and 294 to pull away over the final 36 holes, outlasting a field that included Embry-Riddle, OUAZ's A and B squads, Bellevue, Arizona Christian, Victoria (BC), Park-Gilbert, La Sierra, Benedictine-Mesa and Hope International.

The win gives TMU a strong start to the fall slate as the Mustangs look to build on the momentum heading into their next tournament at the TMU Danish Classic in Solvang, Calif.
