Box Score Davis Beavers' 2-run double to left in the bottom of the eighth inning proved to be the game-winner as The Master's came-from-behind to defeat the No. 9 Jessup Warriors 7-6 Friday at Lou Herwaldt Stadium.
Beavers finished the day 3 for 4 with the double and three RBI.
The Mustangs (17-10, 5-8) got the scoring started in the second inning when, with the bases loaded and nobody out,
Tommy Gwinn grounded into a double play.
Kobe Katayama scored and
Miles Henderson advanced to third. The next batter was Beavers who smacked a single to right field to score Henderson and give TMU the 2-0 lead.
Jessup answered in the top of the third with an RBI single to cut the lead to one.
But in the bottom of the third, Henderson hit into a fielder's choice that scored
Ty Beck to put The Master's back up 3-1.
The Mustangs added to that score in the fifth when Beck hit his seventh home run of the year, this one to left-center. The bomb also plated Mathiesen to put TMU up 5-1.
Then in the top of the eighth, the Warriors followed a 2-run double with a 3-run home run to put five on the board and go up by one 6-5.
That set up Beavers' heroics in the bottom half of the inning to win the game for the Mustangs.
Gage Webster started on the hill, going 5.0 innings and giving up one run on three hits and striking out three. He was followed by Robby Schardt for 2.1 innings andÂ
Nolan Inouye, who got the win, for 0.2.
Ryan Mathiesen came on in the ninth to get his  sixth save of the season.
These two teams will be back at it again on Saturday for a doubleheader scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
