2/23/2024 3:54:00 PM

Box Score Hope International catcher Alec Arnone launched three home runs over the left field fence to lead the Royals to a 16-3 win over The Master's Friday afternoon at Lou Herwaldt Stadium.

The Mustangs offense, which was averaging 8.7 runs on 9.6 hits per game this season, could only muster those three runs on five hits.

TMU's (10-4, 2-2) first two runs were scored on wild pitches. Kobe Katayama's groundout to first with the bases loaded scored Ty Beck in the ninth for the Mustangs' only other run.

"We have to play better," was what TMU Head Coach Monte Brooks had to say after the game.

The Royals pounded 16 hits to go with their 16 runs, and scored in six of the nine innings played.

Both of these teams will be back in action on Saturday at Lou Herwaldt Stadium for a doubleheader that gets started at 11 a.m.
