Quinn Minyard, a middle infielder from Santa Clarita, Calif., signed his national letter of intent to play baseball at The Master's.
The son of Sam Minyard, who pitched for the Mustangs in the early 90s and was selected by the Florida Marlins in the 29th round, Quinn is currently hitting .370 with two home runs and a team-high 17 RBIs at Trinity Classical Academy.
"I've known this young man since he was born," said TMU Head Coach
Monte Brooks. "At five years old, he had the concentration and passion for the game. He has always been really committed, he wants to learn and grow and develop. He can play a few different positions in the infield, has good plate discipline, and there's just a savvy to him. And then obviously his faith. He just loves the Lord, he has a longing to be here and we're just thrilled to have him."
Quinn is a 3-year varsity standout on a team that is looking to win its fifth consecutive league championship.
"This is the school that a lot of my friends have come to, a lot of my family has come to," Quinn said. "My dad pitched here and I've been coming to games here since I was two. It's always been my dream to come here and play for this school, and I'm really excited that it's here now."
