The Master's men's golf team had their best round on the final day Tuesday, moving up two spots to finish 17th at The Battle hosted by Wayland Baptist University at the Laughlin Ranch Golf Club in Primm, Nev.
The team shot identical rounds of 24-over par in each of the first two rounds played on Monday, and followed that up with a 14-over team score in Tuesday's final round.
"This was definitely the strongest field of the season," said TMU Head Coach Luke Brueckner."It was a good comeback on day two for Seth (Bishop)."
Bishop had five birdies against four bogeys to shoot a 1-under 71 in Tuesday's third round, vaulting him up 24 spots to finish 32nd.
Charlie Pollock improved 12 spots with his third round score of 2-over 74.
Jacob Janho was in 21st place after the first two rounds, but struggled in day two to fall to 47th. Wes Opliger rounded out the Mustangs' scoring, moving up six spots with his final round 77.
The team will now be off for nearly four weeks as they prepare for the GSAC Championships, hosted by The Master's, to be played April 20-22 at La Purisima Golf Club in Lompoc, Calif.
