The TMU baseball team signed Tehachapi High School senior Andrew Widders Monday, who will join the team in the 2027 season.
"He is a well-rounded player who will be a two-way. He can play multiple positions and pitch," TMU Head Coach
Monte Brooks said. "He loves the Lord and will be a great addition to this program."
Widders, a two-way player at both pitcher and shortstop, was a team MVP and a South Yosemite Leauge MVP as well.
As a TMU legacy, it was a no-brainer to get Widders in a Mustang uniform.
"I love the community and I love the school," Widders said. "I grew up here and I'm excited to play baseball and grow in my faith while I'm here."
TMU baseball's first game will be at Westcliffe University on January 26th, 2026.
