Box Score Alexis Garcia scored a pair of goals to help lift The Master's to a 5-2 win over the Arizona Christian Firestorm Wednesday in Glendale, Ariz.

Before the Mustangs big offensive burst on Wednesday, the team had only been able to score three goals in the previous five games combined.

"Yeah excited to get the scoring touch going," said TMU Head Coach Jim Rickard. "Encouraging to be putting things together much better than before. Still some holes to shore up, but we are heading in the right direction."

TMU (2-4-1, 2-0-1) dominated the game, playing the majority of both halves in the Firestorm zone. The Master's fired off 26 shots compared to ACU's 12, with nine of those shots on goal.

After giving up an opening goal to ACU in the fifth minute, the Mustangs were able to create five unanswered goals.

Garcia's first, off an assist from Tyler Mora, came 12:56 into the first half, which was followed by Trent Rickard finding the back of the net with an assist from Theo Kudlo. Just two minutes later, Caden Zierenberg blasted a shot from outside the 18-yard box to make it 3-1 TMU.

Three goals in less than four minutes.

Then 20 minutes into the second half, Kudlo was able to find the back of the net, followed 10 minutes later by Garcia's second of the night off an assist from Tyrik Trotman.

The Firestorm added their last goal in the 80th minute.

Julian Graham, fresh off his GSAC Defender of the Week Award, finished with six saves.

"We were able to spread it around with four different goal scorers," Rickard said. "Now we need to recover and prepare for Friday."

The Master's will take on OUAZ Friday morning to finish off this first of three Arizona road trips this season. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m.
