"Today's win marked our first 4-1 victory this year," Master's Head Coach Annett Davis said, after her team's previous four wins came via 3-2 margins. "We are grateful God gave us such a beautiful day to play."

CJ Catabona won her sixth-straight match to start the season, teaming up with Gwen Garate to defeat their opponents at number five (21-17, 21-13).

"In the 5's spot, Gwen Garate played one of her best matches ever coming up from the 6's to help CJ Catabona capture the first win of the day," Davis said.

Chloe Johnson and Kassidy Wilson won their matchup at number one (21-13, 21-16).

"Our 1's played a solid match with Kassidy Wilson contributing with some strong line kills," Davis said.

Kasie Spencer and Evi Yates (21-12, 21-10) and Tara Long and Kaylie Phelps (21-18, 21-14) also won their matches in straight sets at number two and three respectively.

Davis highlighted the play of Ellie Unruh and Ellie Niehus, who played an exhibition match that they won.

"Even though the match of the Ellie's was an exhibition, I am very proud of them for playing well and winning that also," Davis said. "They've been steadily improving all season."
