Highlights:
  • Davis completed her sixth season as TMU's Indoor Women's Volleyball head coach in 2025, taking the team to their first ever NAIA National Championship tournament appearance and finished the season ranked No. 5 in the nation. The team also made it to the GSAC Championship match for the first time as well. She now has an overall record of 52-69.
  • She is the only coach the program has had, starting the team in 2020.
  • She spent two seasons as an assistant coach with TMU's indoor women's team, helping the Mustangs win their first-ever GSAC regular season and tournament titles in 2018. She then took over the program as head coach from 2019-2024.
  • An athlete whose accomplishments span the college, professional and Olympic ranks, Davis was inducted into the California Beach Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2022 and the UCLA Hall of Fame in 2015.
  • While a Bruin, she was named the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year (1991) and Player of the Year (1994), helping lead her team to a national title in her first season.
  • The two-time, first-team indoor volleyball All-American went on to play indoor professionally in Greece before earning a spot on the USA Olympic Team on the beach.
  • At the 2000 games in Sydney, Davis and her playing partner became the first African Americans to make the U.S. Olympic beach volleyball team (they placed fifth).
  • Davis is married to former TMU Swimming & Diving Head Coach Byron Davis. They have a son Mya and a daughter Victoria.
