Jaiden France and
Preston White, two talented transfers, were the stars of Saturday's finale.
France, from San Jose State, went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs. White, from Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama, was 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Max Maitland scored three runs, all in support of lefty starter
Nate Bonsell, who was up to the task of salvaging the third game of the weekend's series.
The Mustangs (6-4 overall, 1-2 in Golden State Athletic Conference) dropped the first two games Friday and Saturday morning, respectively,
the second in heart-wrenching fashion. Bonsell proceeded to toss five innings of two-run baseball. He struck out nine and walked none.
