  • 13x GSAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year (2010-2022)

Highlights:
  • Schroeder completed his 17th year as cross country head coach and 12th year as track & field head coach at The Master's University in 2022-2023. 
  • Has helped produce seven NAIA individual national champions, 89 individual NAIA All-Americans, 96 GSAC individual track champions, 22 GSAC individual cross country champions, six GSAC track relay champions, one NAIA track relay national champion and two NAIA All-American relays.
  • Guided the Mustang men's cross country team to a 13th-straight GSAC title in 2022, adding to the GSAC record for most consecutive conference titles in any sport.
  • 2023 was the most prolific year in program history as four national champions were crowned and a total of 13 men and 19 women earned All-American distinction. The US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named The Master's program (cross country, indoor T&F and outdoor T&F) No. 3 in the nation.
  • In March 2023, Caleb Pouliot won the NAIA Indoor National Pole Vault Championship, which he followed with the Outdoor National Pole Vault Championship in May 2023. The Distance Medley Relay team of Davis Boggess, Zach Garey, Anthony Ghiorso and Sam Jean won the NAIA Indoor National Championship, with Boggess winning the NAIA 10K Outdoor National Championship in May 2023.
  • 2022 was a historic year for TMU Track & Field, with the Mustangs setting program records with eight combined NAIA Outdoor All-Americans and the best-ever team finish for the Mustang men at outdoor nationals (eighth place).
  • In 2022, he also coached the program's first-ever All-American finish at women's indoor nationals (second place DMR).
  • Led the women's cross country program to its first-ever GSAC crown in 2017, before claiming the conference title again in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

  • Other national champions under Schroeder include Karis Frankian in the 5K in 2016, John Gilbertson to a 2012 cross country championship and an NAIA title in the 5,000 meters in 2013, and Jeffrey Jackson in the marathon in 2010.
  • More than simply a recruiter, Schroeder is responsible for the program's training regimen, the implementation of a highly-focused training philosophy, and most of all, he is a mentor to his athletes who are learning not only bodily discipline, but also how to live and run to please the Lord.
  • Served as an assistant coach at TMU in 2005 for one season before taking over the head job a year later in 2006.
  • Competed collegiately at Fresno Pacific University, where he was an All-GSAC performer and a two-time NAIA and GSAC Scholar-Athlete.
  • He graduated from FPU in 2004 with a BS in Applied Mathematics before completing an MEd from National University in 2006. 
  • Schroeder resides in Santa Clarita, California, with his wife, Amie, who serves as the assistant coach for TMU's men's and women's cross country and track programs.  
  • Served as a consultant/trainer for Disney's cross-country-themed movie McFarland, USA in 2014, conducting casting calls and conditioning the actors.
