After dropping a tight second set, No. 17 The Master's University women's volleyball team regrouped to close out Arizona Christian in four sets on Saturday afternoon, improving to 6-5 overall and 2-1 in Golden State Athletic Conference play.

Isabella Amet paced the Mustang offense with 17 kills, while Macy Gebhards added 15 and Krista Brady chipped in nine as TMU out-hit the Firestorm .192 to .145 for the match. Junior Kate Wagner ran the offense with 47 assists, and Sierra Hale led the team with a match-high 23 digs.

The opening set went down to the wire, with the two sides trading points late before The Master's pulled away behind back-to-back attack errors from ACU to close it out, 27-25. Arizona Christian answered in the second, riding a stretch of Mustang miscues to even the match at a set apiece with a 26-24 win.

TMU settled back in from there. The Mustangs used a mid-set run in the third, capped by a Chloe Grever ace, to take a 2-1 lead, then controlled the fourth set from the opening whistle to seal the win. Colette Collins led the way from the service line with four aces on the day.

Defensively, the Mustangs held their own at the net, with Krista Brady and Chloe Grever both recording two blocks.

The Master's continues GSAC play on the road against Life Pacific next Friday.
