No. 20 The Master's University women's volleyball extended its winning streak to seven matches Friday night, defeating Benedictine Mesa 3-1 (25-14, 20-25, 25-23, 25-20) at The MacArthur Center.
Kinsley Kollmann led the Lady Mustangs with a double-double of 17 kills and 15 digs while hitting .289. Macy Gebhards added 11 kills, and Krista Brady filled the stat sheet with nine kills, 21 digs, four blocks and two aces. Kate Wagner handed out 38 assists and added 14 digs. Sierra Hale anchored the back row with 30 digs.
TMU was without their 2025 GSAC Player of the Year Bella Amet, who left Thursday's game with an injury.
With the first set tied 8-8, TMU scored three straight points on Hale's serve to take control. Colette Collins then closed the set with a five-point service run that included two aces, and Kollmann put away three kills during the stretch. The Lady Mustangs hit .267 in the frame and held BenU to .020.
"I'm really proud of the way we battled tonight in the face of adversity," TMU Head Coach McKenna Hafner said. "Kinsley played a great and complete game and I'm proud of the way she stepped up."
The Redhawks answered in the second, jumping out to an 11-6 lead. TMU pulled within 23-20 late, but BenU closed it out to even the match.
TMU opened the third on a 5-1 run, keyed by three blocks involving McKenna Brady. Kollmann added three straight kills on Collins' serve, and Krista Brady capped a service run with an ace to make it 16-5. BenU battled back, but the Lady Mustangs held on 25-23. TMU then hit .195 in the fourth to close out the match 25-20.
For the match, TMU outpaced BenU 52-35 in kills, 101-94 in digs and 6-5 in aces, and both teams finished with eight blocks. Sophie Drollinger led the Redhawks with 14 kills, and Sophie Schonauer had 23 digs.
TMU (11-5, 7-1 GSAC) hosts Ottawa University Arizona on Friday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. at The MacArthur Center. It's a rematch of the Lady Mustangs' five-set loss at OUAZ on Sept. 4.
