The Master's University women's cross country team took to the course Saturday morning at the 45th Annual UC Riverside Invitational, racing the 6K at the UCR Ag Ops Course against a 30-team field.
Sophomore Saige Miller was the first Lady Mustang across the line, finishing 62nd overall in 21:20.2 to lead the team for the second straight meet. Freshman Paige Theel followed in 119th place at 21:46.0, with freshman Margaret Kempson right behind her in 134th (21:51.0).
Junior Kylie Page placed 204th in 22:36.6, and freshman Acacia Rojas rounded out TMU's scoring five in 214th (22:45.3). Those five combined for 642 points, good for 24th place as a team.
Junior Clara Most (254th, 23:46.6) and freshman Ella Bolen (260th, 24:16.4) completed the Lady Mustangs top seven, while freshman Tagan Rinner and sophomore Katelyn Henwood also raced for The Master's.
It was a deep field on Saturday with UC Irvine taking the team title at 65 points. The Mustangs used the meet as another data point early in the fall slate.
The Master's is back at the TMU Invitaitonal on October 9 for their next race at Central Park in Santa Clarita, Calif.
