The Master's University track and field teams competed at the prestigious Bryan Clay Invitational this weekend on the campus of Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif.

Emmanuel De Leon was one of the first to grab a NAIA qualifying standard, notching a 14:32 5000m, which was good enough for NAIA B standard. It was a personal best by three seconds for the Mustang senior, who is now on a streak of three consecutive meets with a personal best. He now ranks in the NAIA top 15 for both the 5000m and the 10000m.

Jack Anderson continued his strong senior campaign, with a 3:49 1500m late into Saturday night. Anderson, who had been dealing with sickness in the days prior, finished fifth in his heat with a mark that would be of the the 10 best times in the NAIA currently. He also holds the NAIA's fastest 1500m mark at 3:47 from the Bob Larsen Invite.

Hunter Roy had a busy few days, with a school record in the 800m at 1:50.03. Roy, who broke his own record by around half a second, followed up his strong performance at the Pomona Pitzer Invitational with another 1500m as well, running 3:50.

Other Mustangs who ran personal records include senior Jack Warmack, who ran a 3:58 1500m off an impressive final 400m kick. Josh Watkins competed in the high jump and hit 1.88m, which secured 11th place overall.

Dominic Grinceri threw a school record in the discus at 45.84, while also throwing a personal best in the shot put as well. Seth Richardson also grabbed a personal best in the javelin at 49.35.

Senior Suzie Johnson also ran in two events, running a 2:16 800m and doubling back in the 1500m with a 4:32. The 1500m a personal best by one second and was an NAIA B standard. Her mark ranks her firmly inside the top 10 of the NAIA this season.

The Mustangs will compete next at the GSAC championships next week in Aliso Viejo, Calif.
