The Master's University track and field teams totaled more than 20 personal bests and two NAIA standards at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Saturday in Claremont, Calif.

Hunter Roy (3:50) hit NAIA B Standard in the 1500m and Brooke Cregan secured another trip to NAIA nationals with her 11:14 3000m steeplechase.

On the men's side, Roy had a strong all-around day, competing in five events, including the 1500m, 400m, 800m, 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay. After hitting qualifying in the 1500m, Roy took home a heat win in the 800m and set the school record in the 400m hurdles in his first ever time running the event.

TMU's distance squad continued to improve as well, with heat wins from freshmen Levi Lorenzana and Justin Canaday. Lorenzana ran a 4-second personal best to take his 1500m heat win, while Canaday dipped under two minutes in the 800m, for a 2-second personal record and a 1:58 heat victory.

Another bright spot was the Mustang throwers, as they competed in mainly the javelin and the hammer throw. Seth Richardson and Tommy Patton both set personal bests in the javelin and improved their second and third-best spots on the TMU leaderboard. Dominic Grinceri notched the second-best hammer throw in school history at 48.14m.

In the jumps, Josh Watkins took home the overall win and the No. 2 high jump in TMU's history with a mark of 1.96m.

The Lady Mustangs also had a solid day, with Kailani Chisholm and Joanne Noordam setting top-10 marks in the 100m. Presleigh Adam ran the third-best time in TMU history in the 200m, while also jumping 5.00m in the long jump, which was also second-best in school history.

Kayli Lincoln had three top-10 marks in the throws including the discus, shot put and the javelin. Sidney Clanton also threw two of the top marks in school history in the discus and the hammer throw.

Suzie Johnson ran the ninth-fastest time in TMU history in the 5000m in 17:32, to place second.

TMU will race next at the Bryan Clay Invitational next weekend in Azusa, Calif.
