With four Lady Mustang players participating in their final match on the TMU Beach Volleyball Courts, The Master's defeated the Life Pacific Warriors 5-0 Tuesday.
It was the team's sixth win in a row to closeout the season.
The No. 3-ranked Sandy Stangs (15-6, 12-2) celebrated the careers of
Brandy Penberthy, Jacklyn Guglielmana,
Arianna DeRaffaele and Izzy Rodriguez before the final match of the regular season.
The team could not have ended the season on a better note, as four of the five pairs got 2-set wins. The 5s pair of
Macy Gebhards and
Brandy Penberthy needed three but easily won their second and third sets.
"So thankful for our seniors this year," said TMU Head Coach
Annett Davis. "Several of whom had to play selfless roles on the team. It's a great testament that a team isn't just about you, but an entire unit. I am so proud of them and the work they put in and how they each have grown on the court and in the Lord."
Master's will take the rest of Easter Week off before preparing for the GSAC Championships set to begin on April 9 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz.
The Sandy Stangs will go in as the No. 2 seed behind OUAZ, which is ranked No. 1 in the NAIA.
