3/20/2026 5:41:00 PM

The Master's beach volleyball team finished off the 3-day Huntington Beach tournament involved GSAC teams with a 5-0 sweep of Park-Gilbert Friday.

The tournament, which is not to be confused with the GSAC Championships which will be played April 9 - 10 in Mesa, Ariz., involved all eight teams in the conference.

The No. 3-ranked Mustangs went 3-1 in the tournament, with wins over Arizona Christian, No. 9 Benedictine Mesa and Park-Gilbert.

The team's only loss was to No. 1 OUAZ.

Four of the Sandy Stangs pairs won in two sets over the Buccaneers, while the 3s pair of Ashlyn Unruh and Jackie Guglielmana needed three to get their win.

"We wrapped up the weekend with some solid performances," said TMU Head Coach Annett Davis. "A 3-day tournament is tough in warm weather while having to play in a conference with so many top teams. The girls handled it well. This was a good test for us."

The Sandy Stangs have three more matches in the regular season before those GSAC championships take place. Next up will be Tuesday when they travel to Riverside, Calif. to take on the La Sierra Golden Eagles. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m.
