The Master's beach volleyball team came away with a pair of big wins Thursday, dropping No. 4 Arizona Christian 4-1 in the morning and knocking off RV Benedictine Mesa 4-1 in the afternoon in Huntington Beach, Calif.
The conditions were far from ideal as a cold wind off the Pacific mixed with occasional rain on the beach.
"The girls did a great job controlling our side of the court," TMU Head Coach
Annett Davis said. "We have been training hard and this was a great test for us."
Against the Firestorm, the No. 3-ranked Sandy Stangs got pairs wins from

Zoe Yates,
Grace Colburn/
Violet Avila,
Ashlyn Unruh/Izzy Rodriguez, and
Ellie Unruh/
Ellie Niehus.
The afternoon match against the Redhawks had the same four pairs win their matches, to improve TMU's overall record to 11-4 and 8-1 in GSAC play.
Two more conference matches are planned for Friday as The Master's will take on No. 1 OUAZ in the morning followed by Park-Gilbert in the afternoon.
