The Master's women's volleyball team struggled with their attack Saturday in a 19-25, 20-25, 14-25 loss to the Oregon Tech Owls at the Hope Summer Slam in Fullerton, Calif.
The Lady Mustangs (2-2) had more kills than the Owls (36-35), but 23 attack errors compared to just six for Oregon Tech was the difference in the match.
The first two sets stayed relatively tight, with the Owls never getting more than a 3- to 4-point lead. That changed as the third set wore on as Oregon Tech closed out the match with the 11-point set win.
Ruby Duncan led the way with 13 kills and a .324 hitting percentage.
Timberlie Miller had 17 assists and freshman
Kate Wagner saw her first action as a collegiate, dishing 11 assists.
Sierra Hale and
Grace Colburn each had 16 digs, with Duncan and
McKenna Brady sharing in the only block for TMU.
The Master's will finish out the Hope Summer Slam later Saturday at 2 p.m. against the Providence Christian Sea Beggars.
