The Master's University Beach Volleyball seniors
Chloe Johnson and
Kassidy Wilson were honored before the final home match of the season against the visiting CSUN Matadors Wednesday.
"We had beautiful weather today for senior day as we got to celebrate Chloe and Kassidy," said Head Coach
Annett Davis. "They are both such great servant leaders on our team in their own unique ways. They will both be missed."
For the non-conference match itself, it didn't go well for the No. 8-ranked Sandy Stangs as CSUN swept TMU 5-0, dropping the Stangs to 5-6 overall.
"(Wednesday's) highlight would have to come from freshman
Violet Avila," Davis said. "In the first set of their match she flipped a switch and started digging some amazing balls and had some aggressive put-aways to help them with an amazing comeback."
The Sandy Stangs will travel to Bakersfield Saturday for two non-conference matches. The first will be against the University of Texas at El Paso starting at 12 p.m.. That will be followed at 2 p.m. by a match against the host CSU Bakersfield.
