Second-ranked TMU Beach Volleyball fell on the losing end of a trio of Golden State Athletic Conference matches this weekend in Huntington Beach, 2-3 to RV Hope International and 0-5 to both No. 3 Ottawa University Arizona and No. 1 Vanguard University.

Kasie Spencer and Evi Yates (21-15, 21-18) at number two, along with Emilye Grace Williams and Annika Booker (21-3, 23-21) at number four, picked up victories for Master's against HIU. Number one pairing Kassidy Wilson and Chloe Johnson forced a third set before the Royals clinched the overall match by winning that final set.

Against both OUAZ and VU, TMU forced a third set once in each match, but otherwise were defeated in straight sets.

At number two versus Ottawa (Ariz.), Wilson and Johnson narrowly lost 13-15 in the third and final set after winning the second one 21-17. Then against Vanguard in the afternoon, the Mustangs' top pairing on the day, Spencer and Yates, won the second set 21-18 before falling in three.

Master's (10-11 overall, 8-4 GSAC) dropped to third place in the conference standings after entering the weekend just a half game behind first-placed Vanguard.

The Mustangs conclude their regular season on April 1 with a scrimmage against Irvine Valley College and a countable contest against University of Utah, before TMU competes in the GSAC Tournament April 8-9.
