As it prepares for the stretch run of the Golden State Athletic Conference regular season, fourth-ranked TMU Beach Volleyball has a tough non-conference schedule to get the Mustangs ready for the postseason.

That included Saturday's matches against NCAA Division I CSU Bakersfield and NCAA Division II Concordia University Irvine, with Master's dropping both contests by 5-0 margins.

Gwen Garate and
Abby Janho came the closest to earning a point for the Mustangs, at number five against CSUB, in a 21-17, 21-14 defeat.

The duo picked up the team's only win of the day, which came at number six against CUI (21-19, 21-18) in an unofficial exhibition match that was not included in the team scoring.

Master's (10-6 overall) is set to take on two more NCAA Division I teams on Friday, when TMU is scheduled to play CSUN and University of Nebraska in Northridge.
