TMU Baseball only recorded six hits on Friday against Bethesda but walked 11 times on its way to a 13-1 non-conference victory inside Lou Herwaldt Stadium.
Master's scored in six of the eight innings it batted in, including five runs in the bottom of the first.
Brock Bell got the Mustangs on the board with a two-run double, before
Byron Smith followed him up with a two-run homer.
Joe Terlizzi's RBI-single concluded TMU's scoring in the inning.
Nick Tuttle scored on a wild pitch in the second inning, before
Will Batz did the same in the third. A
Jeremiah Farris groundout gave Master's its second run of the inning.
After not scoring in the fourth, the Mustangs scored again in the fifth, this time on an error. TMU added three runs in the sixth, two coming off a
Brayden Luft double.
JJ Carrington then grounded out to score another.
Master's (25-16 overall) added its final run of the game on a double-play groundout in the seventh.
The Mustang pitching staff held the Flames to just four hits.
Aidan Stout pitched a scoreless first inning, before
JoJo Penberthy earned the win after throwing five innings of one-run ball, to go along with his seven strikeouts.
Benjamin Johnson closed the door with three shutout innings, only giving up a single hit while striking out five.
The two teams return to Lou Herwaldt Stadium on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. Before the first game, TMU will be honoring 16 seniors as part of Senior Day.
