Wendy (Jones) Penberthy started her collegiate career at The Master's College in 1993 and proceeded to become the most prolific and one of the greatest volleyball players to ever wear the blue and gold. A native of Visalia, California, Wendy was part of the two winningest squads in school history as the Mustangs posted 35 wins in 1993 and 31 victories in 1996.

In an outstanding four-year career, she literally rewrote the volleyball record books, etching her name at or near the top in several statistical categories. A three-time NAIA All-Far West First-Team honoree, Wendy set standards that may never be broken for total kills, total service attempts, total attacks, and digs.

Wendy graduated from the college with a degree in Liberal Studies (teacher education emphasis) in May of 1997 and married Mike Penberthy a few weeks later. For the past six years, Wendy has been faithful in supporting her husband's professional basketball career, traveling throughout the United States and Europe.

Wendy and Mike have two sons, Ty and Jaden.
