    Men's Volleyball Head Coach
  • Came to The Master's after five seasons as the men's volleyball head coach at Mount Mercy University. Under his watch, the Mustangs went 113-38 and secured a NAIA Tournament berth in 2025. 
  • Filer was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2025-26 after leading the Mustangs to a 23-5 record and a 16-3 mark in conference play. The 2025-26 squad recorded nine sweeps in their first 11 games and ranked second in the conference in hitting percentage and first in kills and points per set. 
  • Reached the 20-win mark multiple times during his run at Mount Mercy including a 24-win campaign in 2023-24 and an appearance in the NAIA Tournament. 
  • Also spent time as the head coach of the Xavier High School volleyball team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He totaled a 214-45 mark across seven seasons. 
  • Won the Iowa state title in 2020 and 2022 and was named the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Coach of the Year in both seasons.
