Coaching Career

Buchanan finished her third season as an assistant coach with TMU Women's Indoor Volleyball in 2022 and fourth as an assistant coach with TMU Women's Beach Volleyball in 2023.
Helped coach the Sandy Stangs to their highest-ever national ranking (No. 2) and first double-digit win season in program history in 2022.
In 2020-21, TMU Women's Indoor Volleyball won the GSAC East Division title and earned a berth to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
Has coached with Legacy Volleyball Club since 2015.
Coached at Trinity Classical Academy from 2007-2017, serving as varsity indoor head coach and head of the program from 2010-2016. She started a JV program in 2013 and a beach program in 2014.
Was a full-time staff member with Athletes in Action (AIA) from 1990-2019; currently volunteers with AIA's Global Events Team with her husband, Mike. The couple has ministered to college and elite athletes and coaches on campuses, at camps, at multiple Olympic events, and around the world.
Her heart is to help each athlete and coach develop their God-given strengths on and off the court.
Has been married to her husband, Mike, for over 30 years. They have 3 adult children.
