Highlights:
  • Lewis completed his 16th season as Mustang head coach in 2021, having won 171 games at Master's, posting double-digit wins in 10 seasons since taking over as head coach before the 2007 campaign.
  • His squads have advanced to the NAIA national tournament five times (2010, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019).
  • Lewis' teams have won four NAIA national tournament games ... record in national tournament: (1-1, 2010); (0-1, 2013); (1-1, 2014); (1-1, 2017); (1-1, 2019). 
  • Named Golden State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year during his second season (2008) after Master's went 5-5 in conference play, finishing in fourth place and taking steps toward becoming a legitimate contender in one of the nation's best conferences. The Mustangs won 13 games overall. 
  • In 2009, Master's improved to 15-5-2 and captured the National Christian College Athletic Association national championship.
  • In 2010, the Mustangs won a program-best 17 matches (17-3-2) and advanced to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round for the first time in program history, advancing to the second round with a win over the University of Maine at Fort Kent. 
  • Lewis' overall record as TMU Women's Soccer head coach is 171-100-30.
  • A 2002 graduate of TMU (biblical studies), Lewis was a four-year starter at center midfielder for coach Jim Rickard from 1998-2001, captaining the Mustangs to their fourth NCCAA national title in his senior campaign. He earned All-GSAC honors in 2001 and was named to the NCCAA All-American squad.
  • Previously, Lewis spent four years with the Santa Clarita United Extreme girls' club team, leading his squad to several tournament championships.
  • Since 2000, Lewis has worked at Faith Community Church in Palmdale, CA, where he met his wife, Deann (Matteson), who is a member of TMU's Athletic Hall of Fame for her performance as a women's soccer player. They were married in June 2004 and have lived in Lancaster since her graduation from TMU a year later. They have four young children: Titus, Natalie, Haven and Colton.
