Kasie Hernandez is a passionate and driven beach volleyball coach with nearly five years of coaching experience and a lifelong love for the game. A former collegiate athlete and now an assistant coach at The Master’s University, Kasie also coaches at LAVA Beach Volleyball Club, where she mentors athletes of all ages and skill levels—up to the collegiate level.
Her volleyball journey began in high school, where she competed in both indoor and beach volleyball. She went on to play two years at Ventura College before transferring to The Master’s University, where she played for three more years.
Throughout her playing career, she earned multiple honors, including:
? 2nd Team All-Conference (2018)
? 1st Team All-Conference (2019)
? GSAC All-Conference (2022)
In 2022, Kasie graduated with a degree in Kinesiology, equipping her with a strong academic foundation in human movement and performance—skills she brings to her coaching every day. At The Master’s University, Kasie coaches alongside Annett Davis, and together they have led the team to postseason appearances every year. In 2025, they made history with the program’s first appearance at NAIA Nationals, finishing 5th in the nation, and are currently ranked #6
nationally.
Kasie's coaching philosophy is deeply rooted in faith, passion, and purpose: “This is a sport that I love and want others to love as well. Play hard, work hard—for the glory of God. God has given us the gift of beach volleyball and able bodies, so we should use that well. Not everyone has that opportunity, so we should never take it for granted.”
Her approach to coaching emphasizes technical excellence, strong work ethic, and character
development—both on and off the court. Whether she's coaching elite collegiate athletes or
beginners discovering the sport, Kasie strives to inspire a genuine love for the game and a
commitment to honoring God through athletic excellence
