Coaching Career
Awards:
  • GSAC Coach of the Year (18-19)

Highlights:
  • Waldeck enters his 13th season as head coach of TMU women's basketball in 2020-21 after leading the team to a program-record 29 wins and its first-ever NAIA No. 1 ranking last season.
  • Holds a career record of 258-119.
  • Named GSAC Coach of the Year for the 2018-19 season.
  • For more than two decades, Waldeck has been an irreplaceable component of one of the most successful women's basketball programs in the country. During that span as an assistant and head coach, his leadership and recruiting skills have been primary reasons why Master's has been a perennial Golden State Athletic Conference title contender, a regular in the NAIA Top 25, and a 14-time participant in the NAIA national tournament, advancing to the NAIA Fab Four in 2006.
  • After serving as a TMU assistant for 13 seasons, Waldeck became the head coach in the fall of 2008.
  • Has won 23 or more games in seven of the last eight seasons.
  • Led TMU to the third GSAC tournament title in program history in 2015.
  • Has developed 18 NAIA All-Americans since taking over as head coach.
  • Waldeck and his wife, Cindy, have two children, Tori and Braelyn, and live in Santa Clarita.
