Coaching and Playing Career

• Kang completed his first season as an assistant coach of TMU Men's and Women's Golf in 2021-22.
• Coached TMU Men's Golf to the GSAC Championship and a berth in the NAIA National Championship, at which the Mustangs tied-for-19th.
• He played five seasons of collegiate golf at UC Irvine.
• At UC Irvine, Kang twice placed in the top-10 at the Big West Championships and was a two-time All-Big West Honorable Mention selection.
• He was a GCAA All-American Scholar in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.
• Graduated from UC Irvine in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
• Earned a master's degree in innovation and entrepreneurship the following year.
• The Santa Clarita native is currently also playing professional golf.
• He attended Golden Valley HS, where he was a three-time Foothill League MVP and Newhall Cup champion.
• Kang was selected as Golden Valley Male Athlete of the Year in 2016.
