Highlights:
  • Hicks completed his fifth year as head coach of TMU's Men's Golf program and his third with the Women's Golf program in 2022-2023.
  • Led the Men's team to a Runner-Up finish at the 2023 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships.
  • Coached Easton Johnson to the 2023 NAIA Men's Golf Individual National Championship; NAIA Player of the Year; NAIA Freshman of the Year; Jack Nicklaus Award winner.
  • Coached Hannah Ulibarri to the 2023 NAIA Women's Golf Individual National Runner-Up and an All-American distinction.
  • Helped Easton Johnson earn 1st Team All-American status, and Jack Dudeck 2nd Team All-American.
  • Won the third consecutive GSAC Men's Golf Championship
  • Led TMU Men's Golf to the 2022 GSAC Championship, earning a berth to the NAIA Championship at which the Mustangs tied-for-19th.
  • Coached Jack Dudeck to back-to-back GSAC Individual Men's Golf championships in 2021 and 2022, as well as a national runner-up finish at the 2022 NAIA Championship.
  • In 2021-22, TMU Men's Golf won two tournaments and finished the season ranked No. 20 in the NAIA.
  • In 2020-21, the Mustang men were ranked in the top-25 of the NAIA Coaches' Poll for the entire season, after winning three tournaments on the season.
  • Coached a trio of All-GSAC selections in each of the past two seasons.
  • Was an All-American Athletic Conference golfer as a junior and senior at NCAA Division 1 East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
  • Brings a strong golf pedigree to the program as the son of veteran PGA Tour caddie Mike Hicks, who was on the bag for Payne Stewart during the golfer's 1999 U.S. Open victory.
  • The third coach in TMU Men's Golf history and first in TMU Women's Golf history.
  • Graduated from East Carolina with a bachelor's degree in communication in 2016.
  • After a brief professional golf career, Hicks interned for 11 months with College Golf Fellowship, a relational ministry focused on college and professional golfers.
  • Grew up in Mebane, North Carolina and is married to his wife Sarah, who played for the TMU Women's Soccer team.
