Coaching and Athletic Career


  • Macias completed his first season as an assistant coach for TMU Track & Field in 2022.
  • Began coaching at Kennedy HS in 2011 before coaching at Mayfield HS in 2020 and Oakwood HS in 2021.
  • Competed in track & field at College of the Canyons in 2011 and 2012, mostly in sprint and hurdle events, while coached by former Mustang assistant coach and Olympian, Denean Hill.
  • While at COC, he studied athletic training.
  • In 2015, he graduated from the National Holistic Institute with a certificate and license in neuromuscular massage therapy.
  • Currently works at a physical therapy office working on athletes who are in pre/post-surgery, helping them with pain management through neuromuscular therapy and deep tissue manipulation.
  • Volunteers with the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) as a massage therapist.
  • Attended Kennedy HS, where he competed in track & field and played football.
  • Hobbies include, backpacking, hiking, fishing, pick-up sports, camping and traveling - anything and everything outdoors.
