Highlights:
  • Rickard completed his 34th season as the Mustangs' head coach in 2024.
  • Holds a career record of 378-245-59 at TMU, which places him as the 10th winningest coach all-time and second among active coaches in NAIA men's soccer history.
  • Named the Brine-NAIA Coach of the Year in 2009 after leading the Mustangs to the championship game of the NAIA national tournament. Master's finished runner-up in one of the school's all-time greatest postseason runs.
  • Led TMU to a second-place finish in the GSAC regular season in 2021 after being picked to finish seventh in the GSAC preseason poll. Also picked up his 350th win during the season.
  • Has helped produce 30 NAIA All-Americans since taking over as head coach before the 1991 season. 
  • Coached the Mustangs to NCCAA national championships in 1993, 2001 and 2007. 
  • To keep the team’s focus on spiritual things, Rickard maintains a year-long discipleship program with his players.
  • Following his graduation from Richland High School in Washington in 1986, Rickard came to The Master's where he developed into one of the greatest players in the history of the program. 
  • Playing sweeper, Rickard led the Mustangs to 57 victories, three postseason berths, and a pair of NCCAA national championships during a sterling four-year career.
  • Inducted into The Master's University Hall of Fame in 2011. 
  • Was named an NAIA All-American and an All-Far West selection in 1987 and 1989, an NAIA All-District III choice all four years, and the Defensive MVP of the 1987 NCCAA National Tournament.
  • After graduating from Master's in 1990 with a degree in business administration, Rickard immediately became an assistant coach for the Mustangs, helping the squad to its first-ever NAIA national tournament appearance. 
  • He and his wife, Jolene, live in Santa Clarita and have two daughters, Michaela and Brooke, and a son, Trent.
  • Rickard earned his Master’s in Business Administration from California Lutheran University in 1999, passed the CPA exam, and continues to work at the Stewardship Services Foundation in the off-season.
