2019-20 (Senior): One of the finest big men in program history wrapped up a stellar four-year career with an outstanding season that culminated with multiple postseason accolades…started all 28 games in which he played…was second on the team in scoring and fifth in the GSAC, averaging 18.7 ppg…scored in double figures in all but two contests…scored 20 or more points in a game 11 times, tallying a career-high 36 points at OUAZ on Dec. 7 when he went 14-of-22 from the field and also recorded a double-double with 14 rebounds…notched nine double-doubles…led the squad in rebounding average (8.4 rpg, third in the GSAC) and total rebounds (234, third in the GSAC), and grabbed a season-high 16 rebounds vs. William Jessup on Feb. 8…paced the team in blocks for the fourth year in a row and the GSAC for the third consecutive season, with 62, good for fifth in the NAIA…chosen GSAC Player of the Week twice (Jan. 20 & Feb. 10)…named All-GSAC, GSAC Defensive Player of the Year, and NAIA Division I All-American (second-team) for the third straight season…one of only two three-time All-Americans in program history…finished his career as the program’s all-time leader in blocked shots (272), No. 2 in free throws made (405), No. 5 in rebounding (1,001), and No. 10 in scoring (1,768 points).

2018-19 (Junior):  One of the nation’s premier big men put together a marvelous junior season that culminated with multiple post-season accolades…averaged just under 15.8 ppg, tied for second on the squad, and led the team in field goal percentage (58.8, sixth in the GSAC), free throw percentage (83.2, third in the GSAC), rebounding (8.8 rpg, second in the GSAC), and blocked shots (69, first in the GSAC)…scored in double figures 28 times…on an evening when he tallied a season-high 32 points vs. Life Pacific on Jan. 19, he also cracked the 1000-career point barrier…scored 20 or more points six other times…had 15 double-figure rebounding outings, highlighted by a season-best 15 boards vs. Westmont on Jan. 12…notched 15 double-doubles, including a 20-point, 13-rebound performance vs. the University of Science & Arts (OK) in an NAIA National Tournament first-round game on Mar. 21…blocked a season-high seven shots vs. St. Katherine on Nov. 17…became the program’s all-time leader with 210 blocked shots…No. 2 all-time in field goal percentage (58.8)…named all-conference and GSAC Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row and was an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. 

2017-18 (Sophomore):  Took dramatic and dominating steps toward becoming one of the best big men in the country en route to All-GSAC and All-American accolades … started all 32 games the team played and became a primary weapon on the offensive end and a rim-protector at the other … averaged just over 14 points per game, scoring in double digits 22 times … scored 20 or more points eight times … tallied a career-high 33 points vs. Antelope Valley on Dec. 29, going 10-for-12 from the field and 11-for-14 from the stripe … notched six double-doubles and had 10 games with 10 or more rebounds … averaged 8.4 rebounds per game (third in the GSAC )… pulled down a career-best 19 rebounds against Arizona Christian on a night (Jan. 11) when he also scored 19 points … led the conference and was third in the country with a single-season, program-high 90 blocks … along with all-conference honors, he was also named the GSAC Defensive Player of the Year and was a third-team NAIA All-American.

2016-17 (Freshman):  The first-year center made rapid strides in his introduction to college basketball so much so that he started the final 19 games of the season … averaged just over eight points a game and led the squad in field goal percentage and blocked shots while finishing second in rebounding … scored in double figures 15 times and notched seven double-doubles … tallied a season-high 20 points, highlighted by a 12-for-12 performance from the line, and eight blocked shots to go with 12 rebounds vs. Biola on March 4 … took down 10 or more rebounds nine times including a season-best 16 rebounds vs. Vanguard on Jan. 17 when he went 8-for-8 from the field en route to 17 points.

Personal: Full name is Timothy Luiz Soares ... parents are Rogerio and Susan ... siblings are Jessica, Stephanie, Tiago and Rebecca ... Jessica and Stephanie play for TMU women's basketball ... Rogerio played for TMU men's basketball in the 1990s ... Susan was the national Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year as a high school senior in 1986 and went on to play at the University of Texas ... as for choosing Master's, Tim said, "I'm most excited about being around people who are pursuing the Lord. Also having professors that will help us understand the Bible. Last but not least, a team that has God as the number one focus and wants to get better every day."
