2021 (Redshirt Junior): Team's primary goalkeeper, appeared in 16 of the team's 17 games with 14 starts... went 6-7-1 on the season... had 74 Saves with a goals against average of 1.86 and four shutouts... had two consecutive shutouts with two wins when he was named the NAIA & GSAC Defensive Player of the Week... collected a career-high 12 saves on Oct. 2 against San Diego Christian.

2020 (Redshirt Sophomore): Goalkeeper with the second-most minutes appearing in six games and starting three... Had 21 Saves in his first year at Master’s... Had a goals against average of 1.21 and two shutouts... Recorded his first win and second shutout in a TMU victory against Arizona Christian on March 25… Had a career high of seven saves in two games, against Fresno Pacific on Feb. 6 and against OUAZ on March 24.

2019 (Redshirt Freshman):  Transferred to College of the Canyons where he was named a team captain.... appeared in 18 games for COC, making 17 starts... produced 119 saves and three shutouts for the Cougars and was named All-Western State Conference, South Division honorable mention... Graduated from COC Summa Cum Laude with an Associate's Degree.

2018 (Freshman): Began his college career at NCAA Division 1 Sacramento State where he was redshirted.

High School: Played varsity soccer for Arroyo Grande High School his first two years, then transferred to Mission Heights Prep and played Academy for his junior and senior year... 

Personal: Full name is Kian Bensend... parents are Andy and Liz... has one younger brother named Lachlan... majoring in Kinesiology with a double emphasis in Exercise Science and Pre-Physical Therapy... as for choosing TMU, he said, “I chose Master’s because it was a chance for me to play as much college soccer as possible while also giving me a solid Christian foundation which I had been putting onto the back burner for previous years. I saw Master’s as an opportunity to learn more about my supposed “faith” at the time, as it is imbedded into every aspect of our daily lives whether it comes to chapel, sports, classes, or the community.”
