• 2x Women's Volleyball All-GSAC Selection (2016, 2018)

2019 (Senior): Her one-year transition from the hardwood to the pitch was a successful one as she scored six goals (tied for second on the squad) and totaled 15 points (second on the team)…posted her first point of the season on an assist against Benedictine-Mesa (AZ) on Aug. 20…scored her first two goals of the year in a 2-1 TMU victory over then-No. 21 Kansas Wesleyan on Aug. 31…recorded her final goal of the season against Keiser (FL) in an NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship Opening Round match on Nov. 23.

Master's Volleyball: In four years on TMU's women's indoor volleyball team, Sims, a setter, racked up 2,773 assists, the second most in program history. She was twice named an NAIA honorable mention All-American, and as a senior in 2018 she led the team to its first-ever Golden State Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles. 

South Anchorage HS (Anchorage, Alaska): Scored 22 goals with 11 assists as a senior, leading the Wolverines to their second straight state title ... led team to undefeated state title season in 2014 ... also competed in volleyball where she was named the Gatorade Alaska Player of the Year in 2014 after totaling 984 assists and 182 kills ... led the Wolverines to three state titles and one runner-up finish in four varsity seasons ... earned all-state honors as a junior and senior ...

Personal: Full name is Kayla Nicole Sims ... parents are Fred and Janice ... sister is Kelsey ... said she chose Master's because "I really enjoy the people, campus and volleyball program. Being surrounded by people who put God first in their lives was very important to me."
