The Master's took care of business during Saturday's home opener, sweeping Park-Gilbert 25-14, 25-15, 25-17 to improve to 7-5 overall and 3-1 in GSAC play.
It was one-sided from the jump. TMU hit .354 as a team on 46 kills against just 12 errors, while holding the Buccaneers to a .081 clip. TMU dominated, with 10 service aces to one, and a wide edge in team points, 60-28.
Isabella Amet led the way with 12 kills on .417 hitting, and Chloe Grever added 8 kills and 3 aces off the service line. Krista Brady chipped in 6 kills on .400 hitting to go with a pair of blocks, and setter Kate Wagner ran the offense to the tune of 35 assists while also chipping in on the block. Sierra Hale paced the defense with 10 digs and two aces of her own.
Set one saw Park-Gilbert hang around briefly, tying it at 8-8, before Master's ripped off a stretch of points behind kills from Amet and Krista Brady to pull away for good. The second and third sets followed a similar pattern, with a strong start from the Bucs before the Lady Mustangs' size and depth up front took over in the middle of each frame.
The Lady Mustangs stay home Tuesday to host Hope International, looking to build on their early conference footing.
