The Master's University women's soccer team drew Occidental College by a score of 2-2 on Saturday in Santa Clarita, Calif.
Breanna Fajardo netted her first goal of the season and assisted on
Katie Trinh's goal as well.
Fajardo got the scoring started with her goal in the first 10 minutes. She was assisted by
Autumn Heeb as TMU took the early 1-0 lead. TMU held their lead into the half with
Natalia Ramirez notching two saves.
TMU jumped on the Tigers right after half as well, with Trinh taking a great pass from Fajardo and knocking it in. Despite a deficit of two goals, Oxy didn't relent and came within just one score with a goal in the 54th minute.Â
The game continued to get more and more physical, but it was the Tigers who tied the game with a shot coming in the 79th minute. Master's had changes in the final 10 minutes but the game ultimately ended in a draw.Â
Fajardo had five shots, with three of them on goal along with her goal and assist. Heeb had two shots as well and so did
Bryanna Elias.
Katie Snow got the start in goal in the second half and collected three saves.
Master's will get a week off before taking on Stanton University on September 5 at home.Â
