The Master's University men's soccer team dropped their season opener against Stanton by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday in Santa Clarita, Calif.

TMU had opportunities with eight shots total and four on goal but but Giovanny Jacon, the Stanton keeper, notched four saves to keep the Mustangs scoreless.

Master's had an opportunity, with a Stanton foul in the box, giving Andrew Sorto a penalty kick in the first 20 minutes of the game. Jacon was able to knock the ball away and keep the game scoreless. 

Rémi De Carmejane put the Elks on the board with a goal in the 30th minute after a Jaime Dominguez yellow card. The score remained 1-0 heading into halftime. 

Stanton continued aggressive, picking up several fouls in the beginning of the second half. TMU got another chance to even the score, when Adiel Kaduya had a clean look at the goal, but the shot sailed high and Stanton remained in the lead. 

TMU continued to rack up shots, with attempts from Kaduya and Zenden Berbari but Stanton picked up two goals in the final eight minutes to put the game away. 

Kaduya finished with four shots and one on goal. Franco Barba had five saves in goal as well.

TMU will go on the road Thursday to take on Cal State Northridge in Northridge, Calif.
