The Master's University picked up their first sweep on the young season with a win over Simpson on Saturday in Fullerton, Calif. 

TMU excelled offensively, hitting .371 for the whole match and three players with nine or more kills. 

TMU jumped out to the early lead, thanks to a 7-1 run which was capped by a Chloe Grever service ace. The run put the score at 11-5 and TMU would never give up that lead for the remainder of the set. Simpson got the lead back down to one at 18-17, but six TMU points in a row had them at the doorstep, leading 24-17. A kill from Camdyn Gebhards sealed the first frame for Master's.

The following set was much closer, with the Lady Mustangs leading by just one at 10-9, midway through the set. But a 9-1 run put TMU in the driver's seat and put them up 19-11, after a kill from Kinsley Kollmann. Macy Gebhards got the set-sealing kill from Kate Wagner and TMU went up 2-0. The Lady Mustangs hit .571 in that second set, committing just two errors. 

Simpson rallied in the beginning of the final frame, taking a 6-3 lead. TMU fought back to even the score at 12 all, but then the Lady Mustangs ripped off a 7-1 run, with the only point for Simpson in that stretch coming off a Sierra Hale service error. After a 3-0 spurt, containing a Meryk Lewellen service ace, Camdyn Gebhards once again had the set-winning point to give TMU the match win.

Grever had 11 kills to pace the squad and Wagner dished out 33 assists on the afternoon.

Master's will be back on the road, this time in Nampa, Idaho for the I-84 Classic, where they will play Eastern Oregon to open the tournament on August 27.
