For six years Jared Goldberg has been the head coach of The Master's University's men's volleyball program.

He has taken the team to a No. 1 ranking in the NAIA.

Won the 2025 NAIA National Championship and had four consecutive final four appearances.

Was NAIA Coach of the Year in 2023 and 2024.

And now, Jared Goldberg is stepping down as TMU's head coach to accept the position of associate head coach for the Baylor University women's volleyball program.

"Me and my family are so thankful for our time in Santa Clarita," Goldberg said. "When I first accepted the job to lead this program, I had no idea what to expect or what it would turn into. To see how both the program and individual players have developed and grown over the last six seasons has truly been a gift. I'm excited to follow the future of TMU men's volleyball."

Coach Goldberg's wife and three young boys were at nearly every home game, becoming fan favorites at every match.

"We are grateful to the Lord for the time that Jared and his family have been with us," said TMU Athletic Director Jim Rickard. "A special thank you to his wife Aryn for all the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) events she managed at TMU and for their boys who were our No. 1 fans. I asked their son Samson who his favorite player was and I said, "Is it your dad?" Samson said, "No, he's the coach. My favorite player is Matthew Hamm." Sorry Issac. We'll miss Jared and his sweet family."

During his tenure as head coach, Mustangs players were named NAIA Player of the Year in each of the last four seasons.

"It was fantastic to see the players use their success as a platform to share the gospel of Christ and showcase the gifts and abilities He gave them," Rickard said. "Moving forward we know we are so thankful for Jared's leadership and coaching that put TMU men's volleyball on the national map in a big way. Incredible Massey ratings year after year; winning a National Championship; being in the final four year after year; beating some of the top NCAA D1 universities consistently; along with a significant social media following. God is sovereign over all things and He has orchestrated Jared's time here. We are excited for his new opportunity as well as being sad to lose him. He will be a tough act to follow, but our theology is secure and the sovereignty of God is not a pithy saying. It is the reality of our present and future. So we look forward to the next chapter of time for the men's volleyball program."

A national search is currently underway for the next men's volleyball coach at The Master's University.
