3/5/2026 3:12:00 PM

The Master's men's basketball team learned they will be traveling to Billings, Mont. for the Opening Rounds of the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship Tournament.

The Mustangs (21-9), the No. 10 seed in the Liston Quadrant, will play No. 7-seed Lewis-Clark State (ID) College in the first round Friday at 4 p.m. PT. The Warriors finished the season 24-7, 16-4 and regular season co-champions of the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

LC State lost to Corban (OR) 87-84 in the CCC tournament championship game.

"Always exciting to get into the tournament," said TMU Head Coach Kelvin Starr. "It's an honor to play in it and the guys deserve it. They earned it this year by wining the conference championship. Any team you play in the national tournament is going to be really good. I know Coach Johnson and Lewis-Clark and their reputation. They will be very well prepared and it's going to be an absolute war, so I'm looking forward to it."

Should TMU win over the Warriors, they would play the winner of No. 2-seed Rocky Mountain College vs. No. 15-seed Simpson University (CA) on Saturday at 3 p.m. PT in round two of the national championship tournament.
