Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Dave Caldwell, Sports Information Director

Lady Mustangs dominate pitch in road win

Maddy Traylor scored two second-half goals in The Master's women's soccer's 2-0 win over the Redlands Bulldogs Saturday in Redlands, Calif.

The Lady Mustangs (3-2) picked up their third win in a row and second shutout during that stretch. They took 30 shots in the game with 12 on goal while holding the Bulldogs to just seven shots.

"In all the games so far this season, this was our most complete game," said TMU Head Coach Esteban Chavez. "We denied (Redlands) opportunities defensively, and offensively our build-outs and combination plays were very good. It's a very good way to complete our pre-conference schedule. I just wish we could have scored with all of the opportunities they created."

Traylor scored in the 64th and 89th minutes, assisted by Jane Hato for the first and Katie Trinh on the second. Traylor now has six of the team's eight goals scored this season.

Coach Chavez was quick to point out the efforts of several players who stood out in the match.

"Sasha (Redshaw) defensively was very solid. Bryanna Elias was very good. Zaria (Echemendia) and Kegan (Brunnemann) in the midfield were very solid. And of course Maddy getting those two goals was solid as well."

Traylor and Harmony Rohde each took eight shots, with Elias and Breanna Fajardo firing off five apiece. Autumn Jensen finished with a pair of saves.

The Master's will have a week to prepare for the first GSAC match of the season when they host Soka University of America at home on Reezse Field next Saturday. Kick-off is set for 1:30 p.m.
