TMU's swim depth on display at SOKA meet

The TMU swim team had another successful outing at the Wyatt Balman Invitational in Aliso Viejo, Calif. in which they competed against Azusa Pacific University and SOKA University.

The TMU men took the 200 yard medley relay and both squads took the 200 yard freestyle relay. The men took several other events including the 100 backstroke by Grant Wong with Samuel Chen placing second. The Mustangs also went 1-2-3 in the 100 breaststroke with Evan Nail winning handily. 

Dylan Crane had a stellar day winning both the 100 freestyle by nearly three seconds and he also won the 50 freestyle with another Mustang in Keiden Sutanto placing second. Other events won by The Master's included the 1000 freestyle by Tyler Prieb and the 100 butterfly in Keiden Sutanto. Charley Sears also topped the field in the 200 breaststroke.

For The Master's women, Katherine Dyer took the top spot in both the 100 backstroke and the 100 freestyle. Her 2:08-minute 200 IM was the best in the field as well. Megan Sutanto won the 50 freestyle by over a second and Trudy Patterson had the top time in the 200 backstroke by two seconds.

Megan Sutanto and Clara Patterson went 1-2 in the 100 butterfly with times of 59.93 and 1:01.07, respectively. TMU finished the day with a win from the 200 freestyle relay with a team of Katherine Dyer, Megan Sutanto, Clara Patterson, and Trudy Patterson.

TMU will compete next at the La Verne Winter Invite in Monterey Park, Calif.
