Yesenia Lucero has signed her national letter of intent to continue her soccer career at The Master's University.
An All-League performer at Temecula Valley High School in Menifee, Calif., Lucero has also been a standout with City SC Southwest in club soccer.
"When I visited the school it was such a beautiful environment and I felt welcome," Lucero said. "With my faith and everything, this is just somewhere I want to be. It's just so different from any other schools in California."
Head Coach Esteban Chavez likes the skill level this defender brings to the pitch.
"Yesenia is a very technical player," Coach Chavez said. "She is very good on the ball and makes very good decisions. I think she's going to add a lot to our team as we like to possess the ball and she brings those skills."
