The Master's women's soccer team learned their destination Friday when the NAIA revealed the 40 teams that will compete for the Red Banner in the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Tournament, First and Second Rounds presented by Select Sport America.
The Lady Mustangs will travel to Caldwell, Idaho and play the No. 23-ranked University of Northwestern Ohio on Thursday in the first round.
The winner will face No. 4-seed College of Idaho, which is hosting the first & second rounds, on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Caldwell.
The Racers of Northwestern Ohio finished the season 17-3 overall, 10-1 and champions of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. They scored 72 goals this season (3.6 goals per game), while giving up just 12 goals (0.61 per game).
"It was exciting to watch the selection show with the team," said Head Coach Esteban Chavez. "As far as the draw, I don't know much about the team, but I feel good as far as the form we are in right now, upsetting the No. 1 team in the conference and in the ARC. We are feeling good and feeling healthy, so excited to go and to travel."
