Four TMU players scored in double digits and nine scored at least seven points in The Master's 95-63 win over the Life Pacific Warriors Thursday night in The MacArthur Center.
The No. 7-ranked Mustangs (17-3, 5-1) shot 37 of 71 (52%) from the field and 9 of 29 (31%) from deep to score 90 points or more in a game for the seventh time this season.
Defensively, TMU limited the Warriors to 36% from the field and just 2 of 13 (15%) from behind the 3-point line.
The Master's never relinquished a lead, jumping out to a 10-0 advantage from the opening tip and cruising to a 41-26 lead at the half.
The second half saw even more domination, with the Mustangs out-scoring Life Pacific 54-37 in the final 20 minutes to finish with the 32-point win.
The low post was where The Master's dominated, out-scoring the Warriors 52-20 in the paint. The Mustangs also collected 18 second chance points off of 16 offensive rebounds, winning the overall rebounding battle 43-28.
Quincy Phillips led TMU with 19 points on 7 of 10 shooting, with
Kaleb Lowery netting 16,
Jazen Guillory 13 and
Jaren Nafarrete 10. Both Lowery and
Miles Mendes finished with eight rebounds each, with Lowery adding a team-high six assists and Mendes leading the way with a pair of blocks.
It was the 27th consecutive win at home for TMU. The team's last loss on Bross Court was to the Hope International Royals on Feb. 2, 2023.
The Master's will next host the Embry-Riddle Eagles Saturday in The MacArthur Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
