Box Score This will be a week Head Coach Jim Rickard will want to forget.

For the second consecutive game, The Master's men's soccer team lost, this time to Benedictine Mesa University, 3-0 Saturday in Mesa, Ariz.

Coupled with the loss this past Thursday to Park-Gilbert, the Mustangs have suffered their first two losses in conference play and are now 6-6-2 overall, 6-2-2 in the GSAC.

It was also the second time the Mustangs were shutout by the Redhawks as the two teams battled to a 0-0 tie back on Oct. 3 in Santa Clarita.

"We came out flat and gave up two early goals," Rickard said. Benedictine was very fired up and was playing well. In the second half we turned things around but were unable to score and then gave up a late one while pressing. Overall a rough road trip."

The Redhawks controlled the action for the most part, getting off more shots (18-14) with 11 of those shots on goal. TMU was able to get five of their shots on goal.

Trent Rickard was able to get five shots off, but only one had a chance to go in. Tyrik Trotman, Adiel Kaduya, Prince Chinancheke and Theo Kudlo each had two shots taken.

The good news for The Master's is that all four of their final regular season games will be played at home. This Thursday, TMU will host OUAZ on Reese Field beginning at 11 a.m.

"We stumbled badly and need to get organized and healthy for the four-game home stand," Rickard said.
