Box Score The Master's women's volleyball team opened conference play in front of a very loud and raucous home crowd, but in the end it was the Warriors from Life Pacific that celebrated an emotional 25-17, 24-26, 23-25, 22-25 conference-opening win.
TMU actually hit slightly better than the Warriors (.141 to .136), but LPU had the advantage with 50 kills over the four sets compared to 43 for the Lady Mustangs.
Faith Tarver finished with a team-high 13 kills.

Faith Tarver had a good night hitting," said Head Coach Annet Davis. "She passed well and had a couple of fun stuff blocks."
The blocks were huge for The Master's (9-5, 0-1 in GSAC), finishing with a 12-4 advantage over LPU
"Our middles and
Cora Machado did an excellent job blocking, which helped us with some of the defensive goals that we had," said Davis. "We are so close to being great. We'll keep working on it."
McKenna Brady finished with seven blocks, one solo, with Machado assisting on five other blocks.
Sierra Hale had a team-high 17 digs as the libero.
The Master's will board the bus and head to Santa Ana Saturday where they will face No. 15 Vanguard for a 2 p.m. match to be played at Calvary Chapel High School.
